Our Breeding Program
At Shadey Lane Corgis, we are committed to breeding healthy, happy puppies that make great family pets. Our breeding program is designed to produce puppies with excellent temperaments and conformation. While the pups we produce are extremely important to us, their parents are even more important. Therefore we’ve adopted the Guardian Home Program which allows us to provide life long homes for our breeding dogs.
Basic information about the program
📣 Looking for local families who want to be a part of my Guardian Home Program!
✅ Guardian families get a puppy or young dog from me for FREE. They get to raise them and love them as their own while they are not being used in my breeding program. ❤️
✅ Must live within 4 hour drive of Bland, MO. Preferably have a fenced yard and no other intact dogs on the premises, for obvious reasons.
✅ Once a female comes in heat they would come back to Shadey Lane Corgis headquarters for breeding, and then come back a week before their due date until the end of their puppy raising time. ❤️ (for breeding, then 7 weeks starting right before whelping).
✅ For a male they would come back to me occasionally for breeding.
✅ Once retired I cover spay/neuter and the dog lives with you fully and you get full ownership!
✅ Guardian families cover regular care costs for food, vaccines etc. just like you would for a puppy you purchased. I cover any breeding related vet bills or expenses.
✅ It’s a wonderful win win situation for those who are wanting older dogs, or a quality pet for less than half the cost. And overall is better for the dog as well to have lots of one on one love and attention with their forever family earlier on!
